If you walked at least once on the seafront in Constanța, you must have walked past the Genoese Lighthouse, which, although it is an important objective, can go unnoticed. Located between the Casino and the former Hotel Carol, today the Navy Command, the Genoese Lighthouse received its name out of respect for the Genoese, who are considered to be "masters of the seas", it was by no means built by the Italians.

With a height of 16 meters, an octagonal shape and high natural stone, the Genoese Lighthouse has a metal dome at the top from which was projected the light that would guide the sailors through eight windows. The ornamental elements of the lighthouse indicate the cardinal points, and inside the tourist objective has 53 steps that lead to its top. Sailors could see the light projected by the lighthouse from 5 kilometers away and 21 meters above the sea.
